Following Meteorfall: Journeys (2017) and Meteorfall: Krumit’s Tale (2019), indie studio Slothwerks introduces the third installment: Meteorfall: Rustbowl Rumble. This time, the fate of the legendary Mask of the Uberlich hangs in the balance.
The new entry brings back some fan-favorite characters while completely overhauling its combat system.
Assemble a three-hero squad from eight available characters and dive into lightning-fast tactical battles where card combos and showmanship determine victory.
The story follows Bramble, a once-proud arena owner who lost everything in a drunken bet at a sketchy Meteorfall saloon. Waking up in the wasteland, he stumbles upon the powerful Mask of the Uberlich and devises a desperate plan: launch a brutal new tournament to attract fighters and wealthy spectators, clawing his way back to the top.
Welcome to Meteorfall: Rustbowl Rumble, where success hinges on spectacle, flair, and cutthroat strategy—not sportsmanship.
Master card-driven combat by directing allies and manipulating battles with Wild Cards. Special effects bend the rules, with over 200 upgradable cards supporting deep customization through layered enhancements.
Between fights, players regroup in Bramble Town—the sole sanctuary for upgrades and training. Time management becomes key, as choosing the right vendors influences future battles, while poor decisions carry swift consequences.
Roguelike veterans will appreciate the game’s brisk pace. Most runs wrap up within 45 minutes, defying genre conventions.
The signature absurd humor remains intact, pitting players against bizarre foes like irradiated snotwolves and drunken bearbearians. This playful tone gives the roguelike its distinctive personality.
Originally titled Bramble Royale, the game rebranded ahead of its pre-registration period. It's now available on Google Play for $6.99.
