In the thrilling world of *Phasmophobia*, Tarot Cards represent a high-risk, high-reward Cursed Possession. This guide unravels the mysteries of using them effectively.

Tarot Cards offer significant advantages, but also carry considerable danger. For safety, use them in a secure location, such as near a hiding spot or the entrance, providing an escape route if you draw an unfavorable card like Death.

Each card instantly activates upon use, revealing its unique effect. However, there's a chance of drawing The Fool, a wildcard resulting in no effect. You can draw up to 10 cards without sanity loss, and duplicates yield the same effect.

Ten distinct cards exist within the deck:

Tarot CardEffectDraw Chance
The TowerDoubles ghost activity for 20 seconds20%
The Wheel of FortuneGains 25% sanity (green flame); loses 25% sanity (red flame)20%
The HermitConfines the ghost to its favorite room for 1 minute (excluding hunts/events)10%

What are Cursed Objects (Possessions) in Phasmophobia?

Cursed Possessions, or Cursed Objects, are unique items randomly spawning on any map (depending on difficulty/Challenge Mode). Unlike standard equipment, these items offer powerful ghost manipulation at significant risk. Their use is entirely optional; no penalties exist for ignoring them. Only one spawns per contract (unless modified in Custom settings), always in a fixed location. Seven Cursed Objects exist: Haunted Mirror, Voodoo Doll, Music Box, Tarot Cards, Ouija Board, Monkey Paw, and Summoning Circle.

This concludes our guide on using Tarot Cards in Phasmophobia. Check The Escapist for more guides and news, including all achievements and trophies and how to unlock them.
