From December 30th to January 1st, 2025, a special New Year's event brings themed bonuses, unique Pokémon encounters, and plenty of ways to ring in 2025. This follows the Community Day event (December 21st-22nd) featuring returning Community Day Pokémon.

This New Year's event offers a fantastic bonus: catch Pokémon with Excellent Throws to earn a whopping 2,025 XP each! Enjoy festive fireworks and decorations enhancing the in-game atmosphere.

Expect increased appearances of special Pokémon: Jigglypuff with a ribbon, a New Year's Hoothoot, and a party-hat-wearing Wurmple will be more common in the wild, with a chance to find their Shiny versions.

Raids are also festive! One-star raids feature a snowflake-hat Pikachu, while three-star raids include party-hat-wearing Raticate and Wobbuffet. Shiny rates are boosted for all three.
