The Pokémon TCG Pocket game is getting a significant update with the Space-Time Smackdown expansion, following the success of the Genetic Apex set. Here's a breakdown of the release date and new features:

Space-Time Smackdown Release Date:

The Space-Time Smackdown expansion launches in Pokémon TCG Pocket on January 30th at 1:00 AM Eastern Time. While some initial announcements suggested January 29th, the official Pokémon website and X account confirm the 30th. This discrepancy likely accounts for timezone differences.

Booster Pack Details:

Unlike Genetic Apex, which included three booster packs, Space-Time Smackdown offers only two booster packs. These packs will feature Palkia and Dialga, suggesting a focus on Generation IV Pokémon (Diamond and Pearl). However, expect cards from other generations as well.

New Cards Revealed:

Chimchar	60HP; Scratch (1 Fire): 20 damage; 1 Retreat Cost
Piplup	60HP; Nap (1 Colorless): Heal 20 damage; 1 Retreat Cost
Pachirisu Ex	Sparking Gadget (2 Electric): If a Pokémon Tool is attached, does 40 more damage. 40+ damage.
Leafeon	90HP; Leafy Cyclone

Cynthia	(Supporter) Garchomp or Togekiss attacks do +50 damage this turn.

Trading Information:

While the trading feature will be available with the Space-Time Smackdown release, trading will be limited to cards from the Genetic Apex and Mythical Island sets. Space-Time Smackdown cards will not be immediately tradeable.
