Pokémon Go has launched a $100 Premier Access ticket upgrade for its upcoming Go Fest: Jersey City event, granting exclusive in-game items and access to enhanced real-world amenities, including upgraded restrooms.
Go Fest, the game's major annual summer event, will be held at Liberty State Park in Jersey City, alongside events in Paris, France, and Osaka, Japan.
Players attending the Jersey City event can now enhance their ticket with the $100 Premier Access add-on, Niantic announced, unlocking a variety of perks.
Similar to a premium event experience, those who opt for the upgrade will gain access to a Premier Access lounge.
Niantic described the lounge as featuring upgraded restrooms, portable charger stations with lockers, and seating areas to relax before continuing the adventure. Details on how these restrooms differ from standard facilities remain undisclosed.
Additionally, ticket holders will enjoy priority entry to the event’s Pokémon Center Pop-Up Store, bypassing lines to purchase exclusive Pokémon merchandise.
This is a significant benefit, as the merchandise store is typically crowded, and long queues can reduce valuable playtime for catching Pokémon, which is the core experience players pay for.
The Premier Access upgrade’s primary draw is likely the extensive collection of in-game items it includes, such as 100 Premium Battle Passes, 100 Super Incubators, 20 Max Particle Packs, and more. The value of these items could easily exceed $300 if purchased separately.
Here’s the complete list of included items:
100 Poké Balls 100 Great Balls 100 Ultra Balls 50 Silver Pinap Berries 100 Super Incubators 10 Lucky Eggs 10 Incense 10 Star Pieces 10 Lure Modules 10 Glacial Lure Modules 10 Magnetic Lure Modules 10 Mossy Lure Modules 10 Rainy Lure Modules 100 Premium Battle Passes 20 Max Particle Packs 5 Max Mushrooms
Premier Access ticket holders will also receive an exclusive enamel pin badge.
Player reactions to the ticket are varied. Some criticize the unprecedented high cost of the upgrade, noting the game’s increasing emphasis on paid options.
Others argue the ticket provides substantial value through its in-game items, appealing to players with disposable income who are already investing heavily to attend Go Fest in Jersey City.
IGN has reached out to Niantic to inquire if this offer will be available at other event locations.
Pokémon Go Fest 2025 is scheduled for May 29 in Osaka, June 6 in Jersey City, and June 13 in Paris, focusing on the debut of the Legendary Pokémon Volcanion and the broader release of the Mexican regional exclusive Hawlucha.
