The final day of the Six Invitational is when Ubisoft delivers its major announcements for Rainbow Six Siege. A longstanding tradition involves introducing the newest Operator. This year, Ubisoft unveiled Rauora, a new Attacker hailing from New Zealand.
Her primary gadget is the DOM Launcher, a bulletproof shield that can only be placed in doorways—though it can be destroyed by explosives. It features a trigger that any player can shoot, but activation time depends on who fires: one second for Attackers, three seconds for Defenders. This timing difference could prove crucial during post-plant defusal scenarios.

Rauora also brings a new weapon to Rainbow Six Siege: the Reaper MK2, a fully automatic pistol. It comes equipped with a red dot sight and an extended magazine. Her primary weapon options are the M249 LMG or the 417 marksman rifle.
Rauora will be available on the test servers next week. The live version of the game will receive the update a bit later.
