Here's the official synopsis for Sonic the Hedgehog #79 from IDW:
*The long-running feud between ace sniper Whisper and sinister assassin Mimic reaches its climactic showdown!*
*Only one of these former comrades will emerge victorious! Can Tangle and Silver tip the scales in Whisper's favor? Or will Whisper face yet another loss in the crossfire? It’s a thrilling battle that's been years in the making!*
"IDW’s Sonic the Hedgehog has been a powerhouse for seven years, developing its unique storylines, characters, and narrative elements," Flynn shared with IGN. "Evan Stanley's latest arc brought many of these elements to a head. Reaching a story’s climax is exhilarating, but I'm equally excited to delve into the aftermath. Fans are eager to know 'What happens next?' My arc will answer that question, offer some resolutions of my own, and pave the way for Evan’s next major storyline."
