Shift Up's CFO, Ahn Jae-woo, shared during the company's IPO press conference on June 25 that they are "currently looking at a PC version of Stellar Blade, which we believe would be a great way to monetize the IP once again." This insight, reported by GameMeca and translated by Game8, highlights the company's strategy to adapt to the shifting preferences of AAA game consumers, who are increasingly moving towards PC gaming due to the current distribution of the PS5.

Additionally, Shift Up’s CEO, Kim Hyung-Tae, confirmed that the company is "currently reviewing the Stellar Blade PC version, but cannot comment on a tentative release timing due to contractual obligations." This statement aligns with the company’s public filings, which also mention considering a PC release and a sequel for this successful IP.

Kim emphasized that the goal with Stellar Blade was to "create a high-value IP to ensure branding and gather a global fanbase." To achieve this, the company deliberately avoided microtransactions that could potentially tarnish the brand, aiming to maintain a positive relationship with their fans.

Future Updates and Collaborations Are Imminent!

The excitement doesn't end with the potential PC release. Stellar Blade is set to receive several updates throughout the year, including the much-anticipated Photo Mode in August, new costumes in October, and a major collaboration to be announced later this year.

Regarding the recently announced collaboration with Goddess of Victory: NIKKE, Kim stated that they are "reviewing various opportunities to create positive synergy between the IPs, and we believe we will soon show you some great results."

Stellar Blade has emerged as a standout title of the year, with Shift Up estimating sales of approximately one million copies worldwide within just two months of its release. As a PS5 exclusive, it has topped the charts in major markets like the US and UK, securing the number one position in sixty different stores since its launch in late April.
