The highly anticipated PC version of Stellar Blade is set to launch via Steam on June 11, complete with a suite of PC-exclusive features. This news was inadvertently teased in a trailer leaked by Sony itself, which has since been removed from the PlayStation YouTube channel but remains accessible thanks to internet captures.
Published by Sony Interactive Entertainment, the trailer also unveiled a Complete Edition of Shift Up’s critically acclaimed PS5 action game. The internet has preserved the footage, which is expected to be officially released soon.
The Complete Edition bundles the base game with all existing DLC for both PS5 and PC. This announcement follows over a year since Stellar Blade launched successfully on PS5 in April 2024.
Players can expect a host of PC-specific improvements, including AI upscaling via NVIDIA DLSS 4 and AMD FSR 3, an unrestricted frame rate, support for Japanese and Chinese voiceovers, ultrawide display compatibility, enhanced environmental textures in higher resolutions, and DualSense haptic feedback and trigger effects.
The trailer introduces a new boss battle against Mann, the Leader of the Sentinels, along with 25 fresh costumes. These additions are likely to appear on both PC and PS5. Observant viewers noted a subtle yet intriguing moment near the end of the trailer where Eve releases a memory stick — a scene absent from the original release. This has sparked speculation about potential new endings or upcoming DLC.
Stellar Blade has been a resounding success for Korean developer Shift Up, generating $43 million in royalties during its last fiscal year. Anticipated to surpass sales of the PS5 version, which exceeded 1 million copies within two months, the PC iteration is poised to attract even more players.
In its IGN review, Stellar Blade earned a score of 7/10, praising its core gameplay while critiquing its underwhelming characters, lackluster narrative, and certain RPG mechanics. Despite these drawbacks, the game quickly sold over a million copies, indicating strong market appeal.
Shift Up has expressed interest in expanding the Stellar Blade franchise, hinting at future projects. For now, fans eagerly await the official release of the PC version and the additional content teased in the trailer.
