This year marks the 20th anniversary of the release of Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith, the climactic conclusion to the Star Wars Prequel Trilogy. Directed by George Lucas, the film premiered on May 19, 2005, and served as his last major contribution to the franchise before selling Lucasfilm to Disney seven years later.

Audiences anticipated Revenge of the Sith as the moment when Anakin Skywalker would succumb to the Dark Side and transform into Darth Vader. However, another pivotal question loomed large: what became of the rest of the Jedi? The answer came in the form of Order 66, Emperor Palpatine's sinister directive ordering Clone Troopers to turn on their Jedi allies and execute them en masse. Given the vast number of Jedi serving at the time, it was logical to assume that a few managed to evade capture or execution. Over the years, several Order 66 survivors have been introduced in official Star Wars canon, and today, we're ranking the top 10 who left a lasting impact.

Some survived briefly, while others endured far longer, with a few even disappearing from the narrative entirely. No matter their ultimate fate, each of these Jedi managed to escape the fateful order and continue fighting—at least for a little while.

Criteria: For this list, the characters must have been affiliated with the Jedi Order prior to Order 66, regardless of their final rank—whether Padawan, Jedi Knight, Jedi Master, or even young Initiates. This excludes individuals like Darth Maul or Palpatine himself, who never held official Jedi status. Similarly, characters such as Jod Na Nawood, who trained informally under a Jedi but never joined the Order, do not qualify.

One name sparked internal debate: Asajj Ventress. She trained under Jedi Master Ky Narec for over two decades, learning the ways of the Force on the remote planet Rattatak. However, Ventress never visited Coruscant, interacted with the Jedi Council, or encountered other Jedi before Ky Narec's death. Her subsequent allegiance to Count Dooku and eventual embrace of the Dark Side complicates her classification as a Jedi. Thus, she earns an honorable mention.

With that settled, let's dive into the rankings of the Jedi who narrowly escaped Order 66.
