"Tsukuyomi: New Roguelike by Shin Megami Tensei Creator"

The highly anticipated roguelike card battler, Tsukuyomi: The Divine Hunter, has now been released globally on Android. Designed by the renowned Kazuma Kaneko, famous for his captivating world-building and iconic demonic designs in the Shin Megami Tensei and Persona series, this game offers a fresh take on dungeon crawling with an innovative AI-driven system. Developed by the Japanese game studio COLOPL, Kaneko joined the team in 2023 to lead this project, infusing it with his distinctive style.

Tsukuyomi: The Divine Hunter Has Trained Personal AI Models

In Tsukuyomi: The Divine Hunter, players are under the watchful eye of an artificial deity that reacts to their in-game decisions by generating custom cards. This is facilitated by a proprietary model known as AI Kaneko, personally trained by Kaneko. The Okami System, powered by this AI, introduces a false god named Okami who monitors your gameplay and decision-making during dungeon exploration. Based on your playstyle, Okami dynamically creates new cards that align with your unique approach.

The game is set within The Hashira, a high-rise in Tokyo’s bayside area, once a beacon of modern architecture but now overrun with monsters. Your objective is to ascend to the top of the tower and confront Noriko Tomi, the president of the construction company responsible for The Hashira. As a member of the elite national defense unit Tsukuyomi, your mission is to stop her from overthrowing the state with jujutsu traps embedded throughout the building.

Grab the Two New Characters

The game introduces two initial playable characters: Izayoi Tsukuyomi and Shingetsu Tsukuyomi. Izayoi employs a straightforward strategy, enhancing attack and defense through upgraded cards. Notable Jinma cards you can discover while playing as Izayoi include Seiryu, Finn MacCool, Mormo, and Watanabe Tsuna. On the other hand, Shingetsu focuses on chain attacks, enabling more intricate strategic plays. Shingetsu’s Jinma cards feature Mach, Kirin, Kato Danzou, and Suzuka Gozen. Additionally, two more characters, Mangetsu and Hangetsu, are slated to join the roster in future updates.

You can download Tsukuyomi: The Divine Hunter for free from the Google Play Store. For more gaming news, don't miss out on our coverage of Rush Royale’s Update 30.0: Spring Marathon, which introduces the exciting Twilight Ranger.
