Kingdom Come: Deliverance II Update 1.2 Released – Steam Workshop Integration, Barber Shops, and More

Warhorse Studios has released a major free update, version 1.2, for Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, boasting two key features: native Steam Workshop mod integration and a brand-new barber shop system.

Steam Workshop integration streamlines mod installation, eliminating the need for third-party sites. However, availability depends on creator uploads; currently, a few mods are live, including:

• Free Saving: Unlimited saves by constantly replenishing "Saviour Schnapps."
• Helmet of Henry VIII: Adds a historically-inspired horned helmet.
• Tourist: Disables NPC reactions to trespassing, opening access to restricted areas.
• Pebbles the Zebra: Transforms your horse into a zebra.

While the initial selection is small, the vast Nexus Mods library (over 1000 mods) suggests rapid growth on Steam Workshop, bringing popular mods to a wider audience.

Beyond modding, players can now customize their appearance at barber shops in Rattay and Kuttenberg, with each visit temporarily boosting the protagonist's Charisma.

Update 1.2 encompasses far more than these additions. The extensive changelog details over a thousand fixes and improvements across the game, including balance adjustments, refined animations, enhanced NPC behavior (particularly a more accurate crime system), revised NPC daily schedules for realism, improved horse riding and trading mechanics, and enhanced character visuals and performance, especially noticeable in Kuttenberg and large battles. A developer livestream next Thursday will delve into these changes.

Warhorse Studios' commitment to Kingdom Come: Deliverance II continues, with three paid DLC expansions planned for Spring, Summer, and Winter. The addition of Steam Workshop, cosmetic options, and gameplay refinements creates an even richer medieval experience.
