Capcom has rolled out Monster Hunter Wilds hotfix 1.000.05.00 across all platforms, introducing significant improvements and bug fixes to enhance the gameplay experience. While this update primarily focuses on resolving progression blockers and various bugs, it does not include performance enhancements, as outlined in the patch notes below.

Despite a record-breaking launch, Monster Hunter Wilds currently holds a 'mixed' user review rating on Steam, with many players citing performance issues on PC as a primary concern. However, the game's success is undeniable, having sold an impressive 8 million copies within just three days, making it Capcom's fastest-selling game ever. On Steam, Monster Hunter Wilds achieved a peak concurrent player count of 1,384,608, surpassing the peaks of Dota 2, Cyberpunk 2077, and Elden Ring. In contrast, Monster Hunter: World reached a peak of 334,684.

Looking ahead, a title update for Monster Hunter Wilds is scheduled for early April, promising to introduce a new endgame area and additional monster hunting content for players to enjoy.
