Sapadal's Power in Avowed: Accept or Reject?

In the *Avowed* mission "Ancient Soil," you'll face a crucial decision when Sapadal offers you power, reminiscent of the choice presented by "The Voice" in an earlier mission. While the offer might initially seem daunting, the game makes it clear which path is more beneficial once you weigh the outcomes of each choice.

Should You Accept or Reject Sapadal’s Power in Avowed?

If you're aiming to maximize your godlike's strength in *Avowed*, accepting Sapadal’s offer of power during the "Ancient Soil" mission is the way to go. The ability you gain by accepting is significantly more advantageous than the one you receive by refusing.

The Ability You Get for Accepting

Upon accepting Sapadal’s offer in *Avowed*, you unlock the powerful ability "Thorn of Sapadal." This ability allows you to fire a thorn of energy that pierces through multiple enemies, inflicting damage and momentarily rooting them in place. This is invaluable for creating openings in combat, enhancing your ability to execute devastating combos, such as pairing it with the Fireball spell for maximum impact.

If You Reject Sapadal’s Offer of Power in Avowed

Choosing to reject Sapadal's offer grants you the "Godlike’s Will" ability, which provides an additional Ability Point to be used in the Fighter, Ranger, or Wizard Ability Trees. This is the same ability you receive if you previously declined Sapadal’s "Healing Touch" earlier in the campaign.

While an extra Ability Point is always useful for enhancing your character, it pales in comparison to the unique and potent "Thorn of Sapadal" ability. The only scenario where rejecting the offer makes sense is if you're intentionally seeking to increase the game's difficulty for a greater challenge.

For the optimal godlike build and the most enjoyable gameplay experience, accepting Sapadal’s offer is the clear choice. Once you've made your decision, consider exploring how to obtain Hylea’s Talon to further enhance your weapons and armor, or learn how to respec in *Avowed* to fine-tune your build with new abilities.
