Sony has revealed detailed PC specifications for The Last of Us Part II Remastered ahead of its April 3 launch, along with PSN login benefits and new No Return Mode content coming to both PC and PlayStation 5 platforms.
In a PlayStation Blog update, Naughty Dog outlined the technical enhancements that porting studios Nixxes Software and Iron Galaxy implemented for the PC edition, which follows the PS5 version by approximately one year.
The port supports ultrawide displays ranging from 21:9 to 32:9 aspect ratios, plus triple-monitor configurations reaching 48:9 resolutions. Players can experience native 4K rendering with comprehensive controller support including DualSense haptic feedback, along with revamped keyboard/mouse controls featuring:
"The PC version delivers extensive graphics customization to optimize performance across high-end rigs and portable gaming PCs alike," Sony stated.
The roguelike survival mode welcomes Bill (from The Last of Us Part I) and Marlene as playable characters:
Four campaign-inspired environments join No Return:
PS5 players will receive this content alongside new trophies via free Patch 2.0.0 concurrent with the PC launch.
While optional, PlayStation Network login unlocks:
The jacket cosmetic will also be available to PS5 players through the same update.
Naughty Dog co-president Neil Druckmann recently discussed Intergalactic's four-year development during an interview with 28 Days Later writer Alex Garland, joking about creating polarizing narratives:
"After The Last of Us Part II's controversial reception, we thought - why not tackle religion and faith next?" Druckmann remarked. The sci-fi title explores alternate history through protagonist Jordan A. Mun (Tati Gabrielle), examining a fictional religion's evolution across centuries.
The PC release precedes HBO's The Last of Us Season 2, which showrunners confirm will reintroduce spores absent from the first season's adaptation.
