Split Fiction: Co-op Adventure Nears 4M Sales

Hazelight's beloved co-op adventure, Split Fiction, has reached a remarkable milestone by selling nearly four million copies. Publisher EA highlighted this achievement in their latest financial results, labeling the game's launch as "hugely successful" and crediting it as a key factor in their strong performance at the end of the 2025 financial year.

Split Fiction immerses players in the diverse worlds crafted by two fiction writers, offering a groundbreaking co-op experience where only one player needs to own the game. Launched in March, it quickly became another triumph for Hazelight and its creative lead, Josef Fares, by selling over 2 million copies in just a week. It's also set to be a launch title for the Nintendo Switch 2 as Hazelight continues development on its next project.

Moreover, a film adaptation of Split Fiction is in development, with Story Kitchen—the studio behind the Sonic movie adaptations—working on assembling the writing team, director, and the cast, which will feature Sydney Sweeney.
