Not quite finished collecting all the cards from the Pokémon TCG Pocket Celestial Guardians expansion, which launched just three weeks ago? Better hurry—because the next expansion is already on its way. Say hello to Extradimensional Crisis, arriving May 29.
This new expansion dives into the strange and surreal with the Ultra Beasts—bizarre, dimension-hopping Pokémon originally introduced in Pokémon Sun and Moon. These otherworldly invaders bring a fresh wave of powerful and visually striking cards to the game. Confirmed reveals include Buzzwole ex, Blacephalon, Nihilego, and Guzzlord ex, offering both high-risk plays and unique abilities that reflect their chaotic origins.
Alongside the Ultra Beasts, fans can look forward to more Alola-region Pokémon, expanding on the regional lineup introduced in Celestial Guardians. Notably, Type: Null makes its appearance—strongly hinting that its evolved form, Silvally, won’t be far behind.
With every new expansion comes fresh cosmetics, and Extradimensional Crisis delivers. Starting May 29, players can claim an Ultra Beast-themed binder cover using shop tickets. Additionally, a floral display board will be available during the upcoming Wonder Pick event beginning June 11, purchasable with event tickets.
Since its launch last year, Pokémon TCG Pocket has maintained a steady release schedule, and Extradimensional Crisis marks the seventh expansion overall and the fourth minor booster expansion, following Mythical Island, Triumphant Light, and Shining Revelry. Unlike larger expansions, it features a single booster pack type, but still packs plenty of collectible appeal.
For now, all previous expansions remain active and accessible in the game—no retirements yet. But given the rapid release pace, that could change at any moment. So if you're aiming to complete your collection, now’s the time to act.
