Marvel Rivals Season 1 unleashes new characters, maps, and game modes, alongside a fresh challenge set rewarding players with freebies, including a Thor skin. This guide focuses on triggering Recursive Destruction in Empire of Eternal Night: Midtown.

What is Recursive Destruction?

The initial "Blood Moon Over the Big Apple" challenge requires triggering Recursive Destruction. This involves destroying Dracula-influenced objects that then reappear in their original state. However, not all destructible objects will work.

To identify suitable targets, utilize Chrono Vision (keyboard "B" or console right D-pad). Only red-highlighted objects trigger Recursive Destruction.

How to Trigger Recursive Destruction in Midtown

A building that can trigger Recursive Destruction in Marvel Rivals.

This challenge is exclusive to the Quick Match (Midtown) mode. Initially, no red-highlighted objects will be visible. Wait for the first checkpoint; two buildings capable of triggering Recursive Destruction will then appear.

While engaged in combat, prioritize destroying these buildings. You might not always see the objects reappear immediately due to the fast-paced action, but several hits should suffice. If you don't achieve three triggers in a single match, simply replay the mode.

After completing this challenge, you can progress to subsequent challenges involving the new characters, Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman.

Marvel Rivals is currently available on PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X|S.
