Hearthstone's Year of the Raptor: A 2025 Roadmap of New Content and Features

Get ready for a thrilling year in Hearthstone! 2025 promises a wave of exciting updates, including new gameplay mechanics, features, and a fresh batch of expansions, mini-sets, and Battlegrounds seasons. The success of the Heroes of StarCraft mini-set has clearly energized Blizzard, leading to an ambitious roadmap for the year.

What's New in the Year of the Raptor?

A major highlight is the long-awaited Arena overhaul. This significant update, in development since last year, is poised to revitalize the Arena experience and attract a new generation of players.

Cosmetics are also receiving a major boost. Expect new Mythic skins and Signature cards, alongside a brand-new addition: Pets! These adorable companions will be integrated into a new cosmetic acquisition system, details of which are yet to be revealed.

The Year of the Raptor officially begins with the "Into the Emerald Dream" expansion. Card reveals commence next week, but in-game celebrations are already underway. Complete the Event Track to earn rewards including The Great Dark Beyond Epic cards, packs from the new expansion, and a Raptor Herald card.

Further additions include a dynamic new game board debuting with the expansion. This Year of the Raptor board will remain throughout the year, receiving visual and audio enhancements with each subsequent expansion.

The Core Set is also undergoing a refresh, featuring the return of some classic cards (with adjustments) and the introduction of new cards.
