Star Wars: Hunters, Zynga's inaugural venture into the Star Wars franchise, is set to close its doors just over a year after its launch on iOS and Android. The closure of Star Wars: Hunters is scheduled for October 1st of this year. In preparation, a final content update will be released on April 15th. Players have been informed that in-game currency is now eligible for refunds, and certain seasonal events will be rerun as part of an extended third season.

Fans eager to experience the last hunter, Tuya, will have the opportunity to play them in multiplayer. Tuya will be introduced in the final content update and will be available to all players for free from the start.

The announcement of the game's closure came as a surprise, as there were no clear signs that Star Wars: Hunters was underperforming. Given Zynga's robust standing in the industry, it's likely that the decision to shutter the game was influenced by factors beyond mere performance metrics.
