Remedy Entertainment’s portfolio, featuring titles like Max Payne 1 & 2 Remake, Control 2, and Codename Condor, has hit key development milestones. The company’s recent financial report shed light on each project’s progress and Remedy’s broader strategic vision.

Control 2 Reaches Production Readiness Milestone

Control 2, the eagerly awaited follow-up to the 2019 hit Control, has achieved a significant milestone, Remedy announced. The game has entered the “production readiness stage,” making it fully playable as the team ramps up development. This phase includes rigorous testing and performance optimization to ensure the game meets high standards.

Remedy also revealed that Control Ultimate Edition, developed with Apple, will launch on Apple silicon Macs later this year.

Codename Condor Advances in Full Production

Remedy provided updates on Codename Condor, a multiplayer spin-off set in the Control universe. Now in full production, the team is crafting multiple maps and mission types. Internal and limited external playtesting is underway to refine features. As Remedy’s first live-service game, Condor will launch with a fixed-price model.

Alan Wake 2 and Max Payne 1 & 2 Remake Updates

The Alan Wake 2 expansion, Night Springs, has earned strong reviews and fan praise. Remedy noted that Alan Wake 2 has nearly recovered its development and marketing costs, signaling robust performance. A Physical Deluxe Edition of Alan Wake 2 is set for release on October 22, with a Collector’s Edition following in December. Pre-orders are available on the official Alan Wake website.

The Max Payne 1 & 2 Remake, co-produced with Rockstar Games, has transitioned from production readiness to full production. The team is developing a fully playable version, emphasizing unique gameplay elements to distinguish the remake.

Control and Alan Wake Anchor Remedy’s Future

Remedy emphasized the strategic importance of the Control and Alan Wake franchises. Earlier this year, the company acquired full rights to the Control series from 505 Games, gaining complete control over its development and publishing.

With ownership of both Control and Alan Wake, Remedy is exploring self-publishing and other business models. The company plans to share more details on its strategy by year-end, including potential partnerships to support its long-term goals.

“Our two core franchises, Control and Alan Wake, form the backbone of the Remedy Connected Universe. Expanding these franchises is central to our future, alongside our work on the partner franchise Max Payne, which we originally created,” Remedy stated.
